More Than Riding—A Full Education in Equine Partnership
Since 1990, El Gezira Riding Academy has been a cornerstone of equestrian education, proudly committed to cultivating skilled, compassionate horsemen and women. Nestled on a picturesque 100-acre oasis in Harpersville, Alabama, our facility features three working barns and a fully trained, passionate staff devoted to the well-being of every horse in our care.
At El Gezira, we offer a wide range of programs including riding lessons, horse training, overnight camps, horse shows, and equestrian travel opportunities. More than just a riding academy, we are a close-knit, supportive community where students of all levels can grow in confidence and ability.
Meet our founders
With over 60 years of combined teaching experience, international show jumper Pamela Ibrahim and EEF/GEF board member and accomplished show jumper Galal Muhammed Abdullah are deeply respected within the equestrian world. Their unwavering commitment to horsemanship and mentorship has shaped the lives of countless riders.
Together, they bring not only elite-level experience in the show ring but also a shared passion for developing true horsemen and women—riders who understand and care for the horse as a partner. At El Gezira, students gain more than riding skills; they receive a comprehensive education in horse care, equine behavior, and the values of responsible horsemanship.
